We are seeking Maintenance Techs -Lab Techs - Production Leads - to join our team! You will be an essential part of the team

Experience:

Responsibilities
  • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment
  • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction anddiscusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers todiagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired partsfollowing proper safety protocols and procedures.
  • Uses proper lock-out tag-out procedures at-all-times when performing repairs, tests, orinstallations
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electricaland electronic components of machinery and equipment in adherence to all safetyprotocols and procedures.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic andpneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, andrelated equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
  • Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots orprogrammable controllers.
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine torepair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
  • Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.Production Lead duties:
  • Monitor during production activities to ensure all safety, quality, operating, and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Ensure that products and goods manufactured, meet quality standards set by American Berry Company
  • Motivate workers to enhance production and at the same time maintain high product quality and safety standards
  • Check finished products to ensure quality.
  • Make sure GMPs and food safety standards are followed
  • Complete daily shift reports
  • Write work orders when maintenance is required.
  • Knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing and visual factory.
  • Must have 2 years food manufacturing experience
  • Must be able to learn quicklyLab Technician duties:
  • Performs in-process and finished goods product testing.
  • Pull and test product not fulfilling quality standards.
  • Document quality activities to provide a record of quality compliance efforts.
  • Performs environmental monitoring including microbiological analysis and GMP walk-throughs/Quality auditing.
  • Administer finished goods and raw material quality holds to ensure that quality issues areinvestigated and effectively dealt with for disposition.
  • Release raw materials, when necessary, for use in production process or release productfor shipment if quality requirements are in compliance.
  • Perform quality investigations and research subsequent to consumer complaints. Assist inidentifying and solving problems that produce consumer complaints.
  • Perform microbiological tests and analysis; documenting results to ensure that sanitationstandards are compliant
  • Audit the effectiveness of sanitation/CIP on the production lines.JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Post-secondary education in Operations Management, Business or related field preferred
  • Ability to work as a team with all functional areas to support a common goal
  • Willing to take a drug test
  • Willing to take a background check
  • Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities, excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to lead others, mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, and solid written/verbal communication skills.
