Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Join our inclusive team at the Aquatic Centre where your skills will keep our world-class facilities safe, efficient, and ready for action. Reporting to a supervisor, you’ll will work on essential maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and ensure everything—from pool filtration to air conditioning—runs smoothly and meets NSW Health standards. With daily inspections, data management, and emergency readiness, your impact will be felt every day.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of plant and equipment
  • Possession of or willingness to obtain an Aquatic Technical Operator (SISSS00011) qualification is desirable – SOPA will support you to acquire this
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (e.g., MEX) and the ability to perform repairs and installations as required.
  • It would be beneficial ( though not essential) to have experience in monitoring, recording and logging of pool plant operations including filtration plant, chemical dosing and testing
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to perform emergency management tasks, acting as a first responder for fire alarms and incidents is preferred (training be provided).
