QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a strong mechanical and electrical background with experience in an industrialized manufacturing environment
  • Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program is an asset
  • Thorough working knowledge of pumps, electric and pneumatic, valves, piping, hydraulics, PLC, motors and drives
  • Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical/diagnostic/problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills.

About The Role: Our Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs the equipment and tools that help feed the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute preventative and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of production machinery, rotating equipment, electrical equipment, transport systems, buildings and facilities
  • Perform repair and maintenance work on a variety of equipment including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical
  • Follow diagrams, P&ID’s, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot and repair malfunctions
  • Collaborate with production staff, supervisors and outside contractors, service technicians and engineers to ensure minimal production downtime
