Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) is looking for a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual. The ideal candidate should excel in customer service and have a keen eye for detail, as the role involves repairing and maintaining a commercial building in Downtown Oahu. Candidates should possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle for work. They must also pass a background check. Previous experience as a maintenance technician or in a related field is preferred. We warmly welcome enthusiastic applicants! Schedule: 40 hours a week, After probation schedule is subject to change: Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM -Compensation per hour: $21.00 to $25.00 Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs: plumbing, electrical, mechanical and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), painting, drywall, and grounds maintenance Excellent customer service skills to interact with property managers, vendors, customers, etc. Involves constant movement, standing, walking, bending, able to stretch during shifts Able to lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 50lbs up to 75lbs Ensure mechanical equipment and systems are working in order and fixed as necessary Create and maintain work orders Create and maintain purchase orders Perform any additional maintenance related duties as required by HBM supervisor/property management Skills/Qualifications: Must pass HBM check High school diploma or GED. Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle Ability to work a flexible schedule General preventative maintenance experience is required (Basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, painting and drywall). Troubleshooting abilities Mechanical aptitude Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English Must have good public relations skills and communication Customer service oriented Strong organizational skills Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 50lbs (up to 75lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, walk up and down a stairway, climb up/down a ladder and stand throughout their shift Willingness to learn and grow If this position aligns with your skills and experience, we encourage you to apply!
