JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Facility superintendent, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing assigned maintenance projects, as well as daily maintenance tasks for the Middleboro Branch and Camp Yomechas. He/she has a direct effect on the efficient operation of the Middleboro Branch and Camp Yomechas. This person will provide a healthy, safe and clean environment. He/she will reflect and display the values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. JOB FUNCTION PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor paint and general upkeep of the branch and camp, specifically locker rooms, workshop, storage areas, housekeeping supply areas, corridors and interior of buildings on a daily basis. Clean and/or inspect all areas of responsibility and immediately address all housekeeping issues regardless of department, and address with appropriate personnel. Ensure immediate action is taken to resolve all housekeeping issues. Monitor closely all building areas through a systemic method of daily, weekly and monthly facility checklists, and visual inspections. Ensure the safety and proper functioning of all equipment, furnishings and program conditions. Report and document malfunctions to the facility Director with appropriate recommendations to remedy the situation. Provide friendly, courteous service to all staff, members, clients and volunteers of the OCY. Ensure all requests, comments or complaints are immediately addressed personally and provide follow-up to ensure task was completed. Contribute to a positive work environment by illustrating pride in job, enthusiasm and cooperation with co-workers Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS: High School education Ability to perform minor to average difficulty repairs (plumbing, carpentry, electrical) Ability to stand, walk, crouch intermittently Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion
