Description Summary: Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining plant processing, facility and support equipment. This position is critical to the safe and efficient operation of the facility. 1st Shift: 5:00 am - 3:30 pm - Monday thru Friday/ Flexable day shift hours Essential Functions of the Position: Operate, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment; which involves installing replacement belts, filter, gears, chains, and valves and rebuilding valves, pumps and gearboxes. Troubleshoots pneumatic, electric and hydraulic machine problems and makes necessary repairs - Locate, diagnose and repair any problem causing equipment downtime or unsatisfactory equipment performance. Performs repairs to machines involving machine guarding, bolt replacement and breakdowns due to mechanical wear Performs preventive maintenance tasks such as lubricating parts, drives chains, etc. - Perform both unscheduled and scheduled work as well as preventative/predictive maintenance on equipment to help achieve a goal of zero downtime and one hundred percent efficiency Requirements Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent 2+ years experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance Experience with several of the following: basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, conveyers, gearing, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, fabrication, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps; along with prior diagnostic, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance experience 2+ years computer experience in Microsoft Suite, Google, and CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Systems) Self-reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision Preferred: Associate or Technical Degree 4+ years experience in a food manufacturing plant as a maintenance tech Possesses higher level mechanical aptitude with abilities in many of areas of skills such as: basic electrical, compressors, welding, conveyors, gearing, hydraulics, packaging, robotics, PLC, fabrication, pneumatics, pumps, and preventative maintenance Experience with mechanical systems, utilizing product manuals, troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, and reading mechanical drawings Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Control (PLC)
