YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Year 10 and /or Certificate III or equivalent experience.
  • Trade training as mechanical electrician or mechanical fitter or equivalent
  • Previous experience in maintaining complex machinery (minimum of 4 years), basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and plastic moulding processes.
  • Driving license and forklift license.
  • Minimum of electrical disconnect/reconnect licence.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The employee must ensure that all records, documents and data are retained and stored in accordance with the relevant procedures, work instructions, standards and guidelines. This also includes the use of the maintenance software MEX.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
  • Maintain and review required level of spare parts to ensure sufficient and correct spare parts are available for all plant and equipment.
  • Ordering spare parts in conjunction with the Technical Manager.
  • Raise purchase orders and receive goods.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on all plant and equipment.

PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work co-operatively with team members and those outside the team.
  • Treat people with respect.
  • Complete training and development activities as specified in the training matrix.
  • Coach and demonstrate tasks to other team members to current standards.
  • Confirm training requirements in collaboration with Technical Manager.
