Description Hampton Inn Onalaska -- Maintenance Technician OCI Hospitality Management Job Details Position: Part-Time (Includes weekends and weekdays) Benefits Travel Discount Flexible Schedules About the Role: As a member of the property maintenance team, the Maintenance Technician contributes to the hotel's commitment to high quality guest experience and teamwork by safely and efficiently maintaining the property. From overseeing plumbing and electrical to HVAC and pool maintenance, you assist with general facilities upkeep. Your day will begin with a well-laid out schedule likely including preventative maintenance and grounds work and will be adjusted to accommodate the anticipated work orders reported by your fellow hotel teammates and guests. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the highest level of quality work to ensure minimal disruption to guests. Embracing technology and technological systems to better your property is essential. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responds to reported work orders and performs general repairs. Performs preventative maintenance on all areas of the hotel including guest rooms, public spaces, and equipment. Assists with maintaining the pool area according to company and brand standards in addition to applicable state and local codes. Maintains external property appearance including lawn, landscaping and parking lot. Ensures all maintenance areas and equipment are clean, organized and secured. Maintains basic knowledge of fire safety equipment, refrigeration, pool and elevator operation. Operates common power and hand tools safely. Assists team members and other departments as needed to contribute to operational efficiency. Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership. Requirements Qualifications Ability to handle stressful situations with poise and professionalism. Conduct work-related functions in a professional manner. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or ability to obtain.
