Description
The Maintenance Technician supports the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and reports to the Quality Assurance Specialist.   This position is 100% on-site. * Respond On-Call: Be available to report on-site promptly to assess and document issues. *  Assess & Repair: Diagnose issues and perform repairs related to: * HVAC systems *  Roof/water intrusion (mate line issues) *  Electrical/power issues * Ceiling/floor tile damage * Doors, locks, and adjustments * General modular unit maintenance  * Operate Equipment: Use of * Forklifts (including 36K models) * Telehandlers * Scissor lifts and manlifts * Coordinate Contractors: Oversee third-party contractors (HVAC, electricians, locksmiths, etc.) as needed. * Must document all findings and repairs, and provide updates to the QA Manager * Must respond to service calls and schedule assessments within 24 hours of notification * Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing various facility systems including HVAC, electrical, and structural components. They must also coordinate third-party contractors and document all findings and repairs for the Quality Assurance Manager.
