Description
Description This position is responsible for all routine, preventative, and unexpected maintenance/repair for the entire facility including equipment, land, and buildings. This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Duties include but are not limited to: · Timely completion of assigned equipment preventative maintenance. · Timely completion of instrumentation calibrations. · Timely completion of equipment and instrumentation repairs. · Installation of new equipment, electrical and instrumentation. · Responsible for completion of assigned process control logic programming. · Work closely with operations, radiation safety, and quality assurance personnel to keep the facility running at optimal operating conditions. · A strong electrical background in industrial controls, 3 Phase power, maintaining electrical equipment, VFD's, electrical motors and power panels. · Maintain a safe working environment Perform other duties as assigned Requirements · Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred trade school degree with 10+ years in maintenance preferred. · Radiological safety training, 24hr Hazardous Materials training required. · Must be able to wear respiratory protection on occasion (includes fit test and physical). · Broad knowledge and application of maintenance skills and be self-motivated by actively seeking additional work and responsibility. · Thorough knowledge of all plant operations and equipment and ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees and management. · Must be able to work independently and handle a fast-paced work environment. Working Conditions Will work outside in all weather conditions and inside in an industrial-type environment. Facility/field work includes the potential for exposure to radiation, noise, dust, hot and cold temperatures and chemicals. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in some work locations; must have the ability to acquire a respirator fit card and ability to wear respiratory equipment when needed (APR’s – Air Purifying Respirators and SA-Supplied Air systems are used).
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on facility equipment, buildings, and land. They will also handle electrical installations, instrumentation calibrations, and process control logic programming to ensure optimal facility operations.
