POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of all equipment and systems within the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role requires a proactive approach to preventive maintenance, rapid response to equipment failures, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support continuous manufacturing operations.
Shift: 24/7 Rotational Shifts

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: A relevant technical / trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years+ of experience in a maintenance role within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment,
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, including PLCs, HVAC, and utility systems.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work on a 24/7 rotational shift basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Responsibilities
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in a timely manner to support uninterrupted production.
  • Equipment Calibration: Conduct regular calibration of instruments and equipment to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory of spare parts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
