Description SCHEDULE: 40 hours Sunday – Thursday 9am- 5:30pm. (This position is essential in the event of Weather or other emergencies with On Call Responsibilities) Pays $21.40 - $30.00 per hour DOE (Salary ranges provided are based on relevant experience and skill set) LOCATION: 444 Harrison Avenue, Boston SUMMARY OF THE POSITION: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, including plumbing, electrical background including painting and basic carpentry. Be able to assist in Special events setups, preventive maintenance programs, the ability to troubleshoot H.V.A.C systems, food service equipment and seasonal snow removal equipment etc. Must be able to complete work assignments, via electronic devices. Effectively communicate with members of the maintenance team and Administrator of Building Maintenance on daily basis. This is an essential full-time position and required to be able to participate in the Main Campus On call rotation schedule and respond to emergency call within a twenty-mile radius. Maintain positive working relationships with staff and the facilities department team. Requirements EDUCATION/TRAINING: REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED 2 Year facilities or property maintenance experience Ability to read printed labels and instructions Operate equipment and company vehicle if needed for material pick up or snow removal Ability to pass a CORI clearance Emergency on call / Holiday onsite rotation coverage for PSI Main Campus Events PREFERRED: Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing Bilingual English/Spanish Hoisting License Electrical Certification Plumbing Certification KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED: Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience Knowledge of building trades such as painting, plumbing, carpentry and electrical systems Knowledge of Completing Work order forms on electronic device PREFERRED: Previous experience in Building Maintenance Service calls
