Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a growing leader in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology space for a contract, onsite position located in Bloomington, IN. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and compliance of automated parenteral filling equipment within a sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role follows a rotating shift schedule, with openings available for weekday nights (Monday–Thursday, 10:00pm–8:30am) and weekend coverage (Friday–Sunday, either 6:00am–6:30pm or 6:00pm–6:30am).

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN INCLUDE:

  • Experience performing maintenance on pharmaceutical production equipment in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read technical schematics and follow SOPs in a cleanroom setting.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations, GMP standards, and aseptic processing protocols.
  • Willingness to work night and weekend shifts as part of a rotating schedule, with flexibility across multiple shift options.
Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on parenteral filling line equipment, including vial washers, depyrogenation tunnels, filling stations, and cappers.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to reduce downtime and maintain production flow.
  • Support equipment setup and changeovers for various product batches in a sterile manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with GMP standards, including maintenance logs and deviation reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and support continuous improvement initiatives.
