Description Point Real Estate Management is seeking a full time Maintenance Technician to add to our team! This position will support multiple properties in Madison, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate would have some basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and HVAC. The Maintenance Technician will assist the Maintenance Supervisor with overall maintenance of the physical property, under the direction of the Property Manager. *Full-Time Employees are also eligible to receive a 30% rent discount on our managed properties! Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service Service requests made by residents should be completed within 24 hours General Maintenance, including but not limited to: Replace filters and clean air conditioning vents as needed Replace breezeway light bulbs as needed Perform HVAC repairs as needed Perform light electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc. Perform light plumbing work, such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, etc. Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, blinds, locks. Perform carpentry work, such as fitting doors, freeing windows, replacing and building shelves, sanding and refinishing floors. Assist in custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning windows, etc. in common areas. Assist in grounds work when necessary, including picking up litter and “trashing out” vacancies. Be responsible for refurbishing of apartments prior to resident occupancy (Make Readies). Make keys, change locks and assist in maintaining key control and other work as directed Available to participate in a rotating on-call schedule (approx 4-5 weeks per year) Requirements Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation required Available to participate in a rotating on-call schedule Ability to perform work responsibilities at other locations in the area, as needed. Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician will support the Maintenance Supervisor in managing the physical upkeep of multiple properties, ensuring resident service requests are completed within 24 hours. Key duties include performing general maintenance tasks such as HVAC servicing, light electrical and plumbing repairs, carpentry, and preparing apartments for new residents (Make Readies).
