A successful Maintenance Technician will have strong customer service skills, be technically and physically agile, and can work autonomously. Key Accountabilities · Performs general facility and building maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, machine and tool repair, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, painting and janitorial, as assigned · Repairs and fabricates equipment including rebuilding kilns and pug mills, repairing spray guns, maintaining compressors and air lines, coordinating with department Supervisors to schedule work at optimal times to minimize production disruption · Works with outside contractors when needed · Works across all departments to complete preventative maintenance schedules · Participates in team and Companywide meetings · Contributes to maintaining a clean working environment Core Values: Must embrace and reflect Pratt + Larson’s mission and core values: Enrichment, Cultivating Culture, Tile Dreams, Leading the Way and Taking Ownership Skills and Competencies · Strong mechanical aptitudes and the ability to learn the following skills: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, machine repair, welding, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, HVAC, painting and janitorial and all tools common to those skills · Capable of trouble shooting, with an ability to define problems, and resolve them quickly · Ability to handle multiple tasks and to work well with ever changing priorities and situations · Must be a self-starter, who can work well with people at all levels Performance Standards All production employees are held to measurement of the following performance standards: · job knowledge and productivity, · taking initiative · teamwork · openness and flexibility · attendance and punctuality · safety Annual performance evaluation based on position’s expected standards and attainment of annual goals established between supervisor and incumbent.
