Job Details Job Location: Cherokee, IA Salary Range: $25.00 - $29.00 Hourly Maintenance Technician Maintenance Technician | 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 6 am to 4 pm Start Pay: $25-29/hr, DOE Lopez Foods is currently searching for a full-time maintenance technician to join our growing team in Cherokee, Iowa! The perfect candidate will have experience with maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, adjusting and preforming preventative maintenance repairs as well as installing equipment within and around the facility to keep the production operational and have zero loss of production. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must have the basic mechanical and electrical skills to assist or perform preventative, corrective tasks on process and facility equipment, and must be knowledgeable with the proper use of hand and power tools as well as all special equipment tools and must maintain a high standard of personal integrity and conduct that reflects open, honest communication and respect for others. Must possess the ability to complete daily computer tasks required to keep PM and work orders up to date, individuals will be held accountable for accuracy and clarity of work completed documentation, parts, causes, comments, etc. Be punctual and adhere to all safety policies, general manufacturing policies, and food safety guidelines. Must be able to complete assigned tasks in a safe and timely fashion, must be motivated to increase knowledge and to gain experience in all aspects of the Maintenance field. Adhere to all Lopez Foods safety requirements including, but not limited to, PPE usage, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lock out-Tag out procedures and Process Safety Management related items. Job Requirements/Qualifications: This position requires an organized individual, who is self-motivated and can work independently to perform assigned tasks efficiently with minimum supervision. High School Diploma/GED, Required Previous maintenance experience, preferred Basic knowledge of computers Electrical experience, Required Physical Demands/Work Environment: Must be able to work in cold, hot and humid environments, -40 to 100+ degree temperatures Must not be afraid of heights Must be highly safety conscious Ability to lift in-excess of 50lbs Must be able to stand or be on feet for up to 10 hours a day Will be required to perform continuous and repetitive motion, including, but not limited to: lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and reaching Must have the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Occasional weekend work, as needed Our Benefits: Lopez Foods offers attractive benefit packages including affordable health (Blue Cross Blue Sheild), dental and vision insurance, life insurance and a generous 401k plan with a company match!
