Description Maintenance Technician Bethany Communities, a respected senior living community, is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our compassionate and professional team. Key Responsibilities: -Responsible for driving the trash truck to each building, working with on site staff to collect trash. - Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and resolve issues efficiently. - Assist with apartment turnovers, repairs and installations as needed, including light plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks - Follow safe work practice guidelines with among on-site staff and contractors. - Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the property, including buildings, facilities, and grounds, both indoor and outdoor. - Follow departmental policies and procedures as instructed by the supervisor. - Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment, appliances, and systems. - Collaborate with team members to ensure the property remains in excellent condition. Skills and Qualifications: - Valid driver’s license, good driving record and reliable transportation.(REQUIRED) - Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field preferred. - Knowledge of building systems, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general carpentry. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent communication skills and a compassionate attitude. - Ability to lift heavy objects, perform physical tasks, and work in various weather conditions. - Technical training, trade school preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required. Requirements PREPARATION-Required Ability to pass a CORI Valid driver’s license, good driving record and reliable transportation.(REQUIRED) Technical training, trade school preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to read, write and communicate in English is required. Basic computer skills such as using apps on a smart phone and ordering supplies online is REQUIRED. The ability to lift 50 pounds or more on occasion may be required. This position may require standing, sitting, or kneeling for long periods of time and occasionally require working in hard-to-reach are.
