QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of maintenance experience in heavy industrial, recycling, waste handling, aggregates, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Hands-on experience with crushers, shredders, conveyors, vibratory feeders, mixers, and pumps.
  • Proficiency in welding and fabrication (MIG/arc and cutting torch).
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes, man lifts, and forklifts safely.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

A high-volume recycling and materials-processing facility is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the night shift team. This role is focused on ensuring critical production equipment—including crushers, shredders, conveyors, vibratory equipment, mixers, pumps, and hydraulic systems—operate safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance within a heavy industrial or recycling environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with crushers, shredders, conveyors, vibrators, mixers, pumps, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions in a timely and safe manner.
  • Operate and maintain overhead cranes, forklifts, and man lifts.
  • Weld, cut, and fabricate parts as required for repairs or modifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and lifting devices safely.
  • Complete and maintain accurate work order documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to support efficient plant operations.
