Join us as a Commercial Maintenance Technician. In role you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently performing repairs and preventative maintenance throughout our commercial properties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Completes tenant requested service orders on a timely basis. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and corrects minor HVAC failures, electrical problems, minor appliance failures and minor plumbing failures. Provides minor carpentry and sheet-rock repairs. Performs necessary preventive maintenance on all commercial units. Re-keys locks and cuts keys. Assists in monitoring inventory of maintenance supplies, facilitating accurate replacement orders. Shares on-call duty with other Maintenance personnel. Inspects property for safety hazards and advises supervisor of any necessary action. Incorporates both safety and customer service in performance of all job duties. Completes all job duties within Company guidelines and in accordance with Federal, State and Local laws. Must maintain a professional appearance. Additional Responsibilities Performing additional work as directed by management. Must participate in the on-call rotation. Position may require occasional overtime. Qualifications Education and/or Experience Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Two years apprenticeship or trades training preferred Three years’ experience in maintenance or related field Competencies Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively. Ability to apply quality and safety standards. Have knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Must be able to communicate effectively and work well with residents, supervisors, employees, and vendors. Demonstrates good leadership skills Work Environment Duties are performed outdoors and indoors in all weather conditions Physical Demands Requires standing and walking. Requires frequent operation of maintenance equipment, such as tools, cleaning equipment, etc. Frequent stretching and / or bending to access equipment, objects in need of repair, etc. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects weighing up to 50lbs Climbing ladders (up to 32ft) possible
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance throughout commercial properties. This includes completing service orders, troubleshooting various systems, and ensuring safety standards are met.
