Maintenance Technician – The Preserve | Off-Campus Student Housing About the Role At The Preserve, we’re committed to providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment where students can thrive. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support daily operations and ensure our community is always in top condition. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced student housing environment. You’ll be responsible for completing service requests, supporting unit turns, and maintaining building systems — all while delivering a high level of service to our residents. What We’re Looking For * Prior maintenance experience in student housing, multifamily, or similar environment required * Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair * HVAC certification or hands-on experience preferred * Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently * Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment * Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with residents and team members * Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies * Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout the shift What You’ll Be Doing * Complete maintenance service requests in a timely and professional manner * Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues * Perform preventative maintenance to keep systems running efficiently * Assist with unit turns and make-ready processes during move-in and move-out periods * Maintain organization and cleanliness of maintenance areas and tools * Respond to emergency maintenance needs and on-call responsibilities * Work closely with the onsite team to ensure a safe, student-ready community Pay & Perks * Compensation: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour, based on experience * Pay Schedule: Paid semi-monthly * Performance Incentives: Bonus opportunities available * Paid Time Off: Vacation, sick time, and a floating holiday * Health Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, EAP, and more * 401(k) with Company Match * Insurance Coverage: Begins the 1st of the month after your hire date Why You’ll Love It Here At RISE, our motto is Love.
