Description Join our team as a Maintenance Technician at our Chemical Blending Facility. Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining operational equipment, developing and installing equipment for new processes, and ensuring the general upkeep of the facility. We pride ourselves on our unique approach to chemical blending and our commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment Requirements • Maintain chemical plant process equipment such as mixers, pumps, and piping. • Participate in the specification and installation of new process equipment and procedures for the equipment's operation. • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment. • Assist in Shipping, Receiving, Quality, and Blending operations as necessary. • Follow all safety program requirements for their job responsibilities. • Maintain a clean facility and work area through methodical housekeeping practices. • Operate a forklift capably to stage and relocate chemicals and equipment. • Identify safety concerns in their work area and communicate any issues to their Supervisor. Qualifications • Possess a firm knowledge of chemical transfer and mechanical blending equipment. • Have the ability to work with others to develop and implement equipment solutions. • Exhibit strong knowledge of operating equipment, including diaphragm and centrifugal pumps, manual and air-actuated valving systems, mix tank agitator types and speeds, recirculation systems, grounding equipment, heating and cooling systems, and product filters. • Understand the criticality of strict adherence to SOPs and the importance of quality and hygiene practices relating to cGMP standards. • Be self-motivated, focused, and driven in their project completion with a high level of attention to detail, safety, and quality.
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician will maintain operational equipment and assist in the installation of new processes at the Chemical Blending Facility. They will also ensure the general upkeep of the facility while adhering to safety and quality standards.
