About the Role: This position ensures the flow of products through the plant, ensuring that the equipment is working properly. It involves performing preventive and predictive maintenance of packaging, production, material handling, and mechanical equipment, as well as troubleshooting and repair of all electrical and pneumatic controls as required. The role requires working well in a TEAM and ensuring that all work orders are completed on time. The position follows standard working methods and adopts safe work habits to ensure that production is as efficient and safe as possible. Minimum Qualifications: * Secondary school leaving certificate or equivalent * Ability to use basic mathematics from the workshop; manual formulas * Ability to interpret simple plans or drawings and use a wide variety of precision measuring tools or instruments * Skills in installing, retooling, and operating somewhat complex machines * Electrical and pneumatic repairs and inventory control * Preventive and predictive maintenance * Locking output and safety at work Preferred Qualifications: * Five years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment or in the dairy industry Responsibilities: * Maintain and repair equipment, packaging, production and material handling; * Respond to packaging and production problem calls. Quickly and safely repair (LOTO) equipment, test and return to production * Wires and troubleshooting of new and existing wiring around the plant; * Monitors refrigeration and boiler equipment; * Maintain spare parts inventory  * Monitor and repair air handling and air compression machines; * Fulfill all work orders on time; * Perform all periodic preventive maintenance on a schedule; * Install or move machinery or equipment; * Wire and plumb new and existing installations; * Repair floors, walls and doors; * Clean and organize the workshop maintenance area and store parts; * Involved in wastewater laboratory testing; * Maintain the grounds of all facilities. * Identify and record all site utilities  Skills: * Quality of work * Professional security * Cost control * Teamwork and leadership * Inclusion and communication Work Environment: * Frequent exposure to hot or cold climates * Frequent exposure to noise and vibration * Occasional exposure to chemicals * Frequent exposure to damp and humid conditions Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that an employee must meet in order to successfully perform the essential duties of this position.
