Job Title: Maintenance Location: St Michael the Archangel in Worthington, Ohio Reports to: Business Manager Hourly Range: $24-$28 an hour JOB SUMMARY The Maintenance position provides routine and preventative maintenance of equipment and interior and exterior structure of the building; performs mechanical and custodial duties and other duties as assigned. The position is expected to use personal judgment in carrying out routine duties and responsibilities at the Parish and School. This job description reflects management's assignment of essential job responsibilities; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. All the duties and standards within this job description will be performed according to the established policies, procedures and guidelines. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Oversee the coordination of building space allocation and layout, and facility expansion. 2. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings and grounds. 3. Plan and schedule facility modifications, including cost estimates. Maintain appropriate level of confidentiality with documents and information. 4. Inspect construction and installation progress. 5. Initiate planned maintenance programs for a variety of office equipment. 6. Responsible for preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC, etc. 7. Perform cleaning and maintenance of Facility. 8. Attends staff meetings, diocesan meetings and other meetings as appropriate and requested. 9. Champions safety of staff and visitors and enforces safety regulations. 10. Ensure good stewardship of adequate parish financial reserves. 11. Schedule and coordinate utilization of the parish and school facilities and ensures that all liability and maintenance needs are adequate. 12. Regular attendance and punctuality is essential for this job. III. OTHER POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Administers parish facility operations in accordance with the parish and Catholic Church’s missions. 2. Understands Catholic social teaching and applies it to parish policies and practices. 3. Participates in parish and Diocesan religious programs as directed. 4. Maintains a neat and safe work area. 5. The successful candidate will have to pass competencies for this position. 6. Performs other duties as assigned.
