An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably experienced maintenance fitter or boilermaker to join our new Metropolitan Concrete Maintenance team as a Maintenance Technician based in Sydney. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this role contributes to the support of all Heidelberg Materials and Hymix Plants in the Sydney Metro Area. This is a permanent full-time opportunity and will require travel throughout the Sydney area to various sites. A company ute will be provided to support this role. Whilst duties and responsibilities are varied, the scope of the position will include but not be restricted to: Working and behaving in a safe manner at all times and abiding by all the health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines. Conducting regular maintenance inspections of plant and equipment Maintaining, servicing and repairing fixed and mobile plant and equipment. Liaising with concrete plant staff and management to carry out plant servicing and repairs. Organizing and carrying out maintenance and repairs within budgetary restraints with a minimum impact on production requirements. Aiding and assisting the construction team in upgrades and developments at concrete plants within the metropolitan area. Performing plant maintenance in accordance with programmed maintenance schedules, as well as minor fabrication where required. Assisting in training and knowledge transfer to allow plant batchers to perform minor routine preventative maintenance tasks. Being responsible for the administration and recording of maintenance information in accordance with the systems provided.
