Description

Position Summary: Performs maintenance duties at various agency properties across the region. Ensures quality of work and timeliness of completion for maintenance projects. Position Description: * Ensures the overall maintenance of multiple Agency facilities; work is completed timely and with quality * Performs primarily interior and exterior building maintenance and repair works such as basic plumbing and electrical, carpentry, painting, wall repair and replacing doors/parts * Picks up supplies and equipment for facilities * Works with external vendors and contractors as needed * Monitors work to ensure compliance with specifications * Moves furniture and equipment as necessary * Maintains accurate documentation of work orders through agency system * Other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and plans * Ability to plan material and supply needs * Knowledge of building maintenance techniques and tools involved in the upkeep of buildings, fixtures and structures * Knowledge of emergency procedures * Skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting and preventive/general maintenance * Driving of personal vehicle Job Requirements: * High School Graduate or High School Equivalency * 1-3 years of experience * Valid driver license and auto insurance Essential Functions/Physical Demands: * Positional: Driving in accordance with job duties assigned. Frequent standing and walking. Infrequent sitting. * Gross Mobility: Frequent climbing or crawling. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching. Frequent to constant reaching and handling. * May require ability to walk up to 4 flights of stairs consecutively, depending on location. * Sensory: Rare tasting/smelling. Infrequent use of color vision. Occasional use of far visual acuity, depth perception and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity and visual accommodation. Occasional talking.
