Job Description Responsible for safe, reliable, and efficient operation of utilities equipment and machines including but not limited to diesel generators, microturbine, compressors, chillers, boiler and pumps along with its ancillary equipment. Perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting malfunctions and repair or replace defective components. Identify the root causes of problems and implement corrective actions. Preventative Maintenance – implement and execute preventative maintenance programs to prolong equipment life span and eliminate breakdowns. Regularly inspecting utilities equipment and identifying defects and malfunctions and conducting tests and repair to ensure proper function. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspection, equipment performance and ensure critical spare parts are available. Identify and implement operational and performance improvement opportunities Provide hands-on support to OEM for major maintenance and overhaul works and actively participate in utilities capital projects. Supports organizational philanthropic, quality compliance, and environmental initiatives across the site. Qualifications Minimum Trade/Diploma in Plant Maintenance or mechanical engineering with 5 -7 years hands on experience in maintenance. Alternatively, if you have a wealth of experience as a maintenance fitter, with a minimum of 10 years in the power stations/utilities plant. Extensive knowledge in diesel power generators and compressors systems. Preferred Strong communication and written skills Computer literate and proficient with MS office software such as excel Knowledge in the application of using Lean problem-solving tools Additional Information If you are keen to develop your career in an exciting business with a well-regarded brand, then this could be for you. Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of utilities equipment, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and implementing preventative maintenance programs. They will also maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and support major maintenance and overhaul works.
