Description About Us Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyard is a premier destination in Virginia’s wine country, known for its vineyards, gardens, and high-level hospitality. We operate a large, guest-facing property with a busy tasting room and a full wedding and event program. The Role We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to be onsite during our busiest service periods — supporting tasting room operations and weddings in real time. This is not a behind-the-scenes role. You’ll be working during peak guest hours, troubleshooting issues as they happen, and ensuring the property runs smoothly during live service. What You’ll Do Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, commercial kitchen equipment, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems Provide onsite support during peak hours (especially weekends) Quickly assess issues, fix what you can, and escalate to vendors when needed Handle preventative maintenance and daily upkeep across the property Support events by ensuring all systems are operational before and during service What We’re Looking For (Important) Proven experience with HVAC and commercial kitchen equipment is required Strong troubleshooting skills — you can diagnose and act quickly Experience in hospitality, commercial, or multi-building environments preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment Able to communicate and interact professionally with staff and guests Not a fit for candidates with only residential/home repair experience Schedule Thursday – Monday (weekends required) Saturday & Sunday: 10 AM – 6 PM, with flexibility to stay later based on events Why This Role Be a key part of live service operations, not just background support Work on a dynamic property with events, guests, and constant movement Join a strong team with opportunities to grow Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Employee discounts (food, wine, merchandise) Training and development opportunities
