Description Role Overview: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for facility maintenance (building and property upkeep), maintain cleanliness of machines, learn machine operation, learn basic machine repair, follow SOP’s (standard operating procedure), write reports, and perform various other tasks. Works closely with Tredit management personnel including Maintenance Supervisor and Operations Manager. Duties may vary to include some or all of the following job responsibilities. Duties/Responsibilities: Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance. Maintain machinery and equipment maintenance, including diagnosing and troubleshooting issues. Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor. Comply with all safety and health regulations. Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to supervisor. Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs as needed. Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors as necessary. Maintain focus on safety and adherence to policies that protect all employees. Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures to help with increasing productivity and efficiency. Monitor equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure machinery and tools needed are maintained properly and in good working condition. Promotes self-improvement in assigned tasks and maintains a clean and safe work environment by sweeping, cleaning, and removing trash. Performs other related duties as assigned. Key Performance Indicators: Response Time Machine Down Time Preventative Maintenance Requirements Required Education/Experience and Skills: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred. 1-3 years of relevant maintenance experience preferred. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including hydraulic/pneumatic systems) is strongly preferred. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Software (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe. Knowledge working with Syspro or similar ERP software. Knowledge of tire and wheel industry desirable. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents. Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisor. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize efficiently. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. May be required to work outside of normal work hours. May be required to travel to other facility locations. Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Must be able to continuously lift and move up to 75 pounds. Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body. This will include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, carrying, bending, twisting, and stooping. Regularly exposed to fumes, allergens, or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions. May occasionally be exposed to mild chemicals. Occasionally exposed to electric powered equipment, conveyor belt and compressed air. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
