Description POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of credit union properties, and ensures that facilities are operating, clean, and business ready for employees and members. Oversees plumbing, painting, carpentry, and electrical issues. Responsible for presenting Union Square in a professional and positive image to new or prospective members, employees, Tenants, and the local community. Requirements DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Respond to requests from tenants concerning minor repairs and building security issues. Assist with ensuring the proper working order, routine maintenance, and testing of elevators. Assist with keeping all building plumbing, electrical, and heating and cooling systems in operation. Responsible for the upkeep of daily wear to buildings and furniture. Maintain a neat, well-groomed, and healthy landscape by ensuring shrubs are trimmed and pruned, and flowers are maintained seasonally. Assists with work done to buildings, grounds, and other property by outside contractors. Ensure that warehouse inventory is secure from theft, weather, and other elements. Responsible for keeping building entries swept and free of debris. Responsible for daily runs between offices and vendors for distribution, checks, office supplies, etc. Ensure company vehicles are fueled, maintained, and inspected. Safely operates credit union van and adheres to driving laws. Minor maintenance to upkeep the Base office, such as replacing light bulbs, mending furniture, etc. Responsible for knowing and adhering to USCU policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook and training manuals. Interact with members, tenants, and coworkers in a friendly and courteous manner. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Must operate ladders, hand tools, and electric cords safely. Previous experience with construction or maintenance s preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.
