Apartment Maintenance Technician Overview We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to help maintain the overall condition, safety, and appearance of our apartment community. This is a hands-on role responsible for completing service requests, supporting unit turns, and ensuring residents have a safe and comfortable place to live. What You’ll Do * Complete daily service requests including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs * Assist with unit turns, including repairs, inspections, and getting apartments move-in ready * Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems * Monitor the community for safety issues and address them quickly * Maintain grounds as needed, including trash pickup and general upkeep * Troubleshoot and repair items such as doors, locks, fixtures, lighting, and flooring * Assist with pool maintenance and common area upkeep * Help move appliances and equipment as needed * Track inventory and report supply needs * Work with the team to meet deadlines and maintain community standards * Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies What We’re Looking For * At least 1 year of maintenance experience (apartment or related field preferred) * Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Reliable, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Work Environment * Combination of indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions * Physically active role (lifting, climbing, bending, etc.) * Full-time schedule with an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies Why Choose UDC?
