Description

Have you got other responsibilities or people that you’re taking care of, like children, elderly parents or perhaps some other part-time or voluntary work and you’re looking for a few (extra) days of work each week?
Do you want to work at least 3 days a week, feel satisfied by a day’s hard work and be part of a small vibrant team that cares about what they do and who they do it for? Are you someone that has done all sorts of labouring work over the years, is perhaps fed up of working for and with people that cut corners and don’t value your efforts? Do you like to get on, ‘get the job done’ and do it well, and loves standing back and admiring a job well done?
If your answer to this is “yes!”, then we’re looking for someone like you…

Responsibilities

THE OBJECTIVES FOR THE ROLE ARE SIMPLY TO BE:

· Confidently able to complete painting and gardening jobs independently.
· To have strong working relationships with our internal team and clients.
· Still enjoying and performing in the role after 12 months.

THE KEY RESULTS WE’RE LOOKING TO ACHIEVE THROUGH THIS ROLE ARE:

· More painting and gardening jobs being completed and receiving positive reviews.
· Days running smoothly as per job schedule and time being spent efficiently.
· Jobs being completed profitably.
· Higher client satisfaction, leading to more booked work.
Venture.10 Property Services is a family-run company that supports and works with estate agents, landlords, property management companies, solicitors and, of course, homeowners and tenants, across the North East. We specialise in deep cleaning, painting and garden maintenance work and, since forming in September 2022, we’ve cleaned, painted and tidied up the grounds of everything from ovens to houses, warehouses to golf clubs and offices to churches. Our clients continue to rely on us due to our quality, reliability and communication – so these should be really important to you.
We’re currently a small team of seven, united by a common heart and mind. If you are anything like us, you will be:
- Honest to the point you hate lies.
- Respectful of and to others, enjoying good manners and politeness. Your natural nature will be compassionate, preferring peace and connection over making your point and creating conflict.
- Helpful to those around you, being prepared, productive and proactive. You won’t shy away from accountability, but take responsibility, because you want to make a difference.
- Loving of others, treating people how you would like to be treated.
- Servant-hearted, enjoying serving others and being part of a team.
Hospitals and social care teams in Newcastle, Gateshead and Sunderland are the latest to approach us to support people across the North East. These could be young parents or elderly people, often needing more than a ‘spring clean’. Lately we’ve been helping people de-hoard, sterilise bathrooms and kitchens, give a fresh lick of paint and tidy the garden up to prepare their home to return from hospital or restart family life in. Sometimes these jobs aren’t just hard work. They are heavy on the heart. We work together as a team to serve those that need it most, often without a thank you, but always grateful for the opportunity and privilege to be invited into people’s most intimate spaces – their home and sometimes their heart – and to care for it. Some can’t, some don’t know how and some don’t want to. But that doesn’t stop us doing our little bit the best we can.
From day to day, we imagine you’ll be:
· Checking the job schedule for job types, days and preparing for where you and the team will be and what we will need for the job.
· Packing the cars or van ready for jobs.
· Turning up at homes or buildings ready to transform them.
· Cleaning, treating and painting mouldy ceilings, decorating whole houses, chopping down bushes and giving overgrown gardens a good tidy up… and anything else that we are asked or we feel would make a difference!
· Looking for ways to do things better, quicker and easier.
· Taking photos before and after each job.
· Collecting and dropping keys off to estate agents or other clients.
· Serving, supporting and encouraging the team members alongside you.
· Interacting with customers and clients, caring for their needs and giving them confidence in who we are and what we do.
With this in mind, you will be a good communicator, which means you’re a great listener. Your friends probably call you when they need a cuppa’, an ear to bend and some good advice! Having said that, if you like ‘getting stuck in’ and getting a job done, then we might just be a great match for each other!
If the wages and benefits below work for you, then please get in touch.
