Job Description Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician will perform proper diagnosis of any malfunctioning machinery, general repairs, installing new equipment and systems and preventative maintenance program on all assigned machinery as directed by supervisor. Key Characteristics Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Computer proficient Initiative Problem solving skills Reliable and thorough Duties & Responsibilities Follow good housekeeping practices by keeping maintenance and tool storage area neat and clean as well as timely cleanup of work area after each job is completed Install new equipment or rearrange existing equipment Is available on call for emergency repairs as needed to keep plant in good running order Maintain preventative maintenance records and perform preventative maintenance on plant and road equipment Other duties as assigned Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred: Electrical panel board experience Motor Controls experience Positive displacements pump repair experience Trade school experience for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly desired Education & Experience Required High School Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent to High School Diploma Minimum of 1 year of PVC plumbing, OR mechanical repair and maintenance work experience or training Preferred: At least 1 year of Electrical install, repair, and maintenance work experience to include electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and 480V 3 Phase electrical repair and maintenance experience Electrical Certification Working Conditions Travel for field repair and install if needed Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities Rotation for on call shifts / traditional day shifts (6am to 2:30pm) with flexibility Additional Information At Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
