EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting (additional certifications are an asset).
• Experience with CNC and servo systems an asset.
• Grade 12 Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid Ontario Millwright Certification 433A or Ontario Electrician certification 309A or 442A.
• Experience in an Industrial Automated Manufacturing Environment.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment and facility systems. This role supports operational uptime, equipment efficiency, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical and or electrical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Conduct preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner to reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of completed work.
• Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with other trades and production staff to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions for increased reliability.
• Perform maintenance on facility, machinery and equipment, including scheduled preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and component replacement as required.
• Troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Utilize hand tools including meters, grinders, saws, drills and other equipment effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized and efficient workspace
• Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment and supplies.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures to enhance equipment longevity and performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
