Overview
Our client, a world-class manufacturing company in the Whitby area, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent, and direct-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in industrial maintenance, specializing in robotics and advanced machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, and cylinders.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) systems.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on injection molding machines, ensuring their precision and efficiency.
  • Service and troubleshoot 3-axis and 6-axis robots, including programming adjustments and mechanical repairs.
  • Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals to assist in troubleshooting and repair work.
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement improvements to existing equipment and processes.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation of all work performed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, promoting a safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A valid trade license (e.g., Industrial Millwright, Electrician) or a relevant post-secondary diploma is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with hydraulic system troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience in PLC and PCB troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with injection molding equipment.
  • Experience with 3-axis and 6-axis robots is essential.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle physical demands of the job.
