Job Description:
B&D Industrial seeks an experienced Machine Shop Maintenance Technician to join our growing manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of machine tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance activities including inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments on CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and other production equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on machine tools.
  • Assist in the installation, dismantling, and relocation of machinery as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with production staff to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and order replacement components as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and provide solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Assist in the training of operators on basic maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machine Shop Maintenance Technician or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with machinery repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
  • Ability to operate machine tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CNC machine tools, lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Familiarity with PLC and control systems
  • Welding and fabrication skills
