We're excited to offer new openings for Maintenance technicians. The addition of a new shift creates more opportunities at our optical lab for career growth. Schedules: FT positions will be available on both our 2A and 2B shifts. These shifts work 3 days/week with 4 days off. Perfect for those wanting to restructure non-work hours or minimize commutes. Shift 2A will work: Sundays through Tuesdays (3:30 pm - 4:00 am) Shift 2B will work: Wednesdays through Fridays (3:30 pm - 4:00 am) Pay & extras: Base pay (DOE) PLUS 10% shift differential AND extra bi-weekly bonus opportunities. We also have a generous PTO plan and many other benefits. Training: Our new hires will initially train with a current shift working Sundays - Thursdays (4:00 pm - 12:30 am). Once new shift personnel are staffed and trained fully, we will implement the permanent 2A & 2B shift schedules. Job Description Our associates are responsible for performing a variety of duties, depending on their assigned department and lab needs. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment located in the lab. Principal duties and responsibilities include: Performing Preventative Maintenance on all equipment, maintaining PM checklists Handling work orders to resolve machine issues and minimize production down time Services and maintains Edgers, Generators and Blockers Cleaning, changing parts, performing checks, calibrating Identify issues and perform repairs Assist with installations, fabrications, servicing of other equipment and systems in the lab Follow all safety measures, "Lock out / Tag out" procedures and utilize PPE if required Qualifications No specific education required 1-3 years previous experience in industrial maintenance, diagnosis and repair (electro/mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, servo drives, HVAC, etc.) Experience in manufacturing and optical industry desirable Must be able to read and write English Requires accuracy, some mental effort and occasional organization and planning Additional Information National Vision offers a competitive benefits package.
