Are you a skilled and reliable maintenance technician looking for a stable role with variety in your day? We’re currently seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team at a well-established hotel. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a broad range of maintenance skills who enjoys problem-solving and working independently.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Your main duties will involve ensuring the hotel’s facilities are kept in excellent working condition and responding promptly to maintenance issues. The role is primarily site-based, but may include occasional work at other nearby properties (within a 50-mile radius).

Responsibilities
  • Electrical fault finding and minor repairs
  • Plumbing work (e.g. unblocking, fixing leaks, changing taps)
  • Basic joinery and carpentry (e.g. door adjustments, lock replacements)
  • Painting and decorating touch-ups
  • General property upkeep and preventative maintenance
  • Occasional external maintenance (e.g. minor landscaping or pressure washing)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar maintenance or handyman role
  • Good working knowledge across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, joinery, general repairs)
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Own tools and vehicle are essential
  • Flexibility to travel to other nearby sites if required (within 50 miles)

Nice to Have:

  • Relevant trade certifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds)
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Previous experience in hotel or hospitality environments

Travel:
The main location is in Mansfield, but flexibility to work at other sites within a 50-mile radius is required. Mileage/travel expenses may be discussed.
