Description
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Trades II is responsible for daily operational checks, maintaining, repairing, lubricating, inspecting, cleaning and testing of all minor hospital equipment, controls and systems related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, instrumentation, plumbing and building systems in accordance with Corporate, Unit and Departmental goals and objectives, policies, procedures and standards. Performs such other duties as may be assigned.Functions in accordance with duties defined in the job description for the Maintenance Trades 2 position. May be assigned to work at any HHS site. 1. Grade 12 Technical, or Trade School or equivalent 2. Minimum of five years general industrial mechanical maintenance experience including repair and installation of all types of mechanical equipment 3. Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions 4. Demonstrated ability to use the tools and equipment of the trade 5. Must be willing to provide own hand tools of the trade 6. Demonstrated ability to bend, crawl, lift heavy items, climb and work from ladders and scaffolding 7. Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in areas of cold, hot, dusty, dirty, noisy, amongst machinery, at elevated levels and have cramped quarters
