Department: 11917 Aurora West Allis Medical Center - Facilities Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday - Friday 1st shift, weekend rotation Pay Range $30.70 - $46.05 Major Responsibilities: Performs preventive maintenance and technical repairs on complex facility systems. Diagnoses and implements repairs for Utility and Infrastructure Systems. Installs/replace and maintains building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and controls systems. Operates and monitors advanced utility equipment (generators, plant chillers, steam boilers, fire protection systems, etc.) and utilizes building automation systems to troubleshoot issues. Maintains vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and manuals for accurate task completion. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Valid Driver’s License. Trade/Tech School Trades Certificate or trades or industry recognized certification/license requiring Continuing Education Units or periodic renewal to maintain. Education Required: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of technical training. Experience Required: 4 or more Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Ability to work with minimal oversight with advanced technical skills in facility maintenance. Clear written and verbal communication skills required. Advanced computer skills/competency required in using and operating systems such as Microsoft Office Platform, Building Automation Systems, Pneumatic Tube Systems. Clear understanding of applicable compliance codes and guidelines. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Works required shifts and participates in on-call duty to provide 24/7 coverage. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, crawl, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead, lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest-level, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance. Must be able to push/pull with 50 lbs. of force. Exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards and therefore knowledge of safety precautions. Position requires travel. May be exposed to road/weather hazards. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job. Preferred Job Requirements: Community College/Trade school degree Trade/Tech School Trades Certificate or trades or industry recognized certification/license requiring Continuing Education Units or periodic renewal to maintain. 7+ Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
