Description • Responsible for a wide variety of duties related to building and grounds maintenance as well as interior and exterior cleanliness and upkeep of the BOD facility. • Daily movement of parts, materials, cores, supplies between the Tryon and Davidson facilities. • Restock, organize, and distribute transfers and schedules to CTC and BOD Ops. dept. • Transporting buses between each facility as well as local vendors and repairs to include movement of engines, transmissions and automobiles for rebuild repair and service. • Assist with clean-up after accidents and road spills. • Daily recovery, security and movement of full fare and empty safes between Davidson and the Tryon facilities Revenue Room. • Supports special events and bus preparation of designated buses for the special events. • Duties in and around both facilities, include but not limited to, cleaning, steam cleaning, sweeping, scrubbing parking lots with motorized scrubber. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid NC or SC CDL with Passenger Endorsement Ability to drive/operate CATS equipment (bus, trucks, and other non-revenue vehicles and equipment). Ability to bend, stoop, walk, kneel, stretch and lift up to 75 lbs. Interact professionally with various levels of employees and external customers. Must be flexible to work any shift as needed. Must have an excellent attendance and performance record Ability to make sound decisions and work as a team player in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work in weather conditions extremes all reasons outside.
