QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required qualification includes at least 3 years of referenceable industrial mechanical maintenance experience in process, food or chemical environment on equipment that we use at Harrowby, such as conveyors, pumps and fans.
  • Technical school or vocational training or courses. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential as well as strong mathematical, analytical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be willing and able to work on call outs as required during off-hours, weekends, holidays and must have the acquired skills and knowledge to work alone and/or as part of a team carry out maintenance tasks encountered at the Harrowby plant and perform required repairs under tight time constraints.
  • Must have excellent safety record, demonstrated good safety habits, and have shown an interest in improving plant safety conditions with suggestions and involvement.
  • Must have excellent attendance record, desire to learn new skills and tasks, be adaptable, willing to accept change, and follow directions well.
  • Able to operate mobile equipment such as skid steers loaders and forklifts.
  • Demonstrated interest to participate in troubleshooting and maintenance, pro-active ability to reduce downtime, grasp overall plant and equipment systems quickly and show creative mechanical thinking.
  • Must be a team player who adheres to Bunge core values. Accustomed to working as member of a group, integrate well with other trades people and employees.

    Responsibilities


      • Perform all duties safely, display safety leadership, cultivate a zero-incident safety culture, and comply with all government and corporate safety requirements.

      • Work with department managers, supervisors, contractors, and hourly employees
      • Responsible for doing predictive and preventive maintenance checks as required by maintenance program.
      • Responsible for recording labour and materials used on work orders completed and keeping accurate records.
      • Responsible for maintaining working area in a safe, tidy condition in accordance with Food and Safety requirements.
      • Work with peers at other Bunge sites, safety resources, technical staff, and other support personnel.
      • Interact with service providers such as vendors, government regulators and inspectors, contractors, and consultants.
      • Perform other duties as required.
