QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knows basic carpentry, welding, furnace repair, small appliance repair and safety regulations
  • Must be self directed, dependable, conscientious, and lead by example
  • Ability to organize and complete assigned workloads
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Physically fit/able to perform physically demanding job duties
  • Able to work as part of a team with other Department
  • Previous maintenance experience is an asset
  • Must posess a valid drivers licence
  • Must be double vaccinated

SUMMARY

As a Maintenance Worker, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective maintenance and repair tasks. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, your core skills in mechanical knowledge and facilities maintenance will be vital in troubleshooting and resolving issues. Your premium skills in supervising, electrical experience, and familiarity with programmable logic controllers will enhance our maintenance team’s efficiency. Additionally, your strong communication skills and customer service orientation will contribute to a collaborative work environment, ensuring that all maintenance activities support the overall goals of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the grounds surrounding the building, ensuring it is safe and aesthetically pleasing
  • Manage and conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections/checks
  • Assists with moving and storage of supplies and equipment
  • Report on equipment malfunctions
  • Maintain and make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.
  • Performs other routine maintenance such as painting, drywall repair etc.
  • Contact and follow-up with contractors, technicians, and service representatives utilized by the organization when necessary
  • Available for emergency calls
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
