Job Details Job Location: Lake Behavioral Hospital - Waukegan, IL 60085 Position Type: Per Diem Salary Range: $25.00 - $25.00 Hourly Job Shift: Any JOIN OUR TEAM AS A MAINTENANCE WORKER (PRN) Your Work Matters How will you make a difference? The Maintenance Worker performs a variety of tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical, and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision. Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for: Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred; two years of technical or trade school preferred. Experience: Must have experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions. Must experience in the area of building maintenance and basic mechanical engineering. Licensure: Must have a valid driver's license. Additional Requirements: Must have complete knowledge of physical plant within two weeks of hire. Responsibilities Performs all tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical, preventive maintenance, and tests and inspections of the hospital. Clean and change air filters, kitchen grease traps and stove hood filters. Dispose of infectious/contaminated waste from the hospital. Maintain hospital grounds in a neat and attractive appearance. Maintain all light fixtures in good working condition and change light bulbs as needed. Perform preventive maintenance electrical test as well as the removal, installation, and repair of all mechanical/electrical equipment. Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations, and safety/risk management plans policies and procedures.
