Based at our Gibson Island plant, the Maintenance Planner will report to the Maintenance Manager. This role will be required to oversee 3 sites (Yatala, Carrara and Gibson Island). The position’s primary responsibilities include planning and scheduling maintenance works (for the week, month, quarter and year) to optimise labour, materials, external services, costs and duration whilst following all business processes across state’s plants. Critical to the role is the responsibility for the OHS&E of employees, contractors and visitors, demonstrating appropriate Safety Leadership behaviours through your everyday activities.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

  • Actively lead and coach safe work process such as stop and thinks, JSEA creation, SWP development, work permit systems, hazard reporting, safety interaction talks, standard maintenance work development, toolbox discussions
  • Maintain an excellent standard of housekeeping through the application of 5S practices
  • Lead/drive the maintenance planning and scheduling process
  • Develop, document and implement preventative maintenance plans (weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly)
  • Lead the maintenance team members in the utilisation of the root cause analysis (RCA) program to ensure that a formalised RCA is conducted on unreliable equipment based on predetermined downtime triggers
  • Manage statutory registers and compliances.
  • Manage condition monitoring and reporting.
  • Create and maintain assets bill of materials.
  • Initiate and manage offsite repairs.
  • Create/manage goods and service purchase orders
  • Develop and manage plant shutdown plans.
  • Manage and maintain maintenance spares and inventory
  • Lead the maintenance team members in the utilisation of the site CMMS to ensure that correct work order history is maintained with appropriate documentation
  • Ensure that the site CMMS information/history and work order are maintained
  • Develop and execute process improvements that will result in maintenance cost reduction
  • Develop and implement improvement action plans that will drive continuous improvement with regard to plant reliability and site systems of work.
  • Ensuring internal and external customer relationships are maintained by resolving issues as they arise.
