About the Role WHYY Major Gifts and Donor Relations intern will be working alongside the WHYY Major Gifts and Individual Giving team in the preparation and execution of events, programs, and development. Interns will gain experiential learning in the non-profit and public media industry. Candidates must be able to collaborate on projects, take direction/critique, and manage workload in a timely manner. The ideal candidate would demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion in a fast-paced environment. Some of the responsibilities the Major Gifts & Donor Relations Intern will have during the internship: Assist and support the development team with the creation, planning and execution of major donor events. Assist with donor acknowledgments and queries. Support research and development and any special projects within the department. Assist with logistics of donor events and tech and talent needs. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have an interest in gaining experience in non-profit management, and have some experience with fundraising.
