Major Investigations & Disclosure Coordinator – Casual The West Vancouver Police Department is looking to hire a Casual Major Investigations & Disclosure Coordinator to provide confidential clerical support within the Major Investigations Team in the Operations Support Section. The primary role of the Major Investigations and Disclosure Coordinator is to provide specialized administrative and technical support to the Major Investigations Team by following industry standard practices, conducting analysis of digital evidence, and providing customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Basic requirements are one (1) year of experience in a law enforcement environment, supplemented by related education or experience in Computer Science. Previous experience working with Police Records Information Management Environment (PRIME), JUSTIN and Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) databases would be considered an asset for the selection process. Knowledge of the rules of disclosure including redaction and vetting codes, the application of Crown/Police disclosure business rules, and understanding of the Major Case Management System is preferred. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills to be effective in requesting and delivering information; adaptability in responding to changing conditions and priorities; have attention to detail to critically evaluate data and information with accuracy and perception; self-starter who requires minimal supervision and takes initiative to make things happen and anticipates tasks that need to be done. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance, including a polygraph examination. You must be a Canadian Citizen or have Permanent Resident status.
