WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We’re looking for a proactive and technically skilled professional who can confidently own their projects. If you tick most of these boxes, we’d love to hear from you:

• Qualified via RICS or CIOB (or working towards it)
• HNC in building surveying
• NEBOSH/IOSH qualified
• Strong understanding of domestic property maintenance and quality control systems
• Skilled in Microsoft Office, Project, and NBS software
• Experience in delivering stock investment/major works in social or private residential housing
• Confident with JCT Measured Term Contracts and contract admin duties
• Experience using Keystone (especially the Planned Maintenance module)
• Excellent communication and customer care skills, with a proven track record of delivering satisfaction alongside results

A LITTLE ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re on the lookout for a Major Works Surveyor to lead on diagnosing, specifying, procuring, and overseeing significant repairs and planned works across our London and South East region.
You’ll manage everything from structural repairs and insurance works to drainage, roofing, and Aids & Adaptations seeing projects through from start to finish while ensuring a top-tier customer experience. You’ll also manage Party Wall enquiries and tenant alterations, balancing technical compliance with people-first thinking.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Leading on major repairs and planned works from initial diagnosis through to completion
• Managing a range of projects including structural repairs, drainage, insulation, roofing, groundworks, and Aids & Adaptations
• Overseeing tenant alteration requests and Party Wall enquiries
• Preparing and reviewing contract documents (Specs, Schedules of Work, BOQs)
• Managing and inspecting contractors’ work at all stages of delivery ensuring high quality and compliance
• Certifying valuations and final accounts within delegated authority limits
• Working closely with the Resident Liaison Officer to deliver excellent customer experience
• Monitoring budgets, timescales, and health & safety across all projects
