Description We are seeking a skilled and detailed-oriented Make Ready Technician to join our Make Ready Team. This team is responsible for preparing apartments across our portfolio for new residents by ensuring that all units meet our high standards of cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in apartment maintenance and repairs. Responsibilities: Perform a comprehensive assessment of vacant units and complete all necessary repairs and upgrades to ensure the unit is move-in ready. This includes painting, cleaning, repairing, and replacing fixtures, appliances and other essential components. Address maintenance issues identified during the make ready process, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry. Inspect all completed work to ensure all units meet company standards for appearance, functionality, aesthetics, before turning them over to the property management team. Accurately document all work performed, including parts and materials and time spent in the unit for tracking purposes. This position requires up to 70% travel, and the ideal candidate must be able to work on out-of-town assignments for up three weeks at a time. Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment. EOE M/F/D/V Requirements Minimum 2 years’ experience in property maintenance, with a focus on make ready tasks and repairs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment. Must have reliable transportation capable of supporting travel to out-of-town locations. Must possess all necessary tools required to efficiently complete make ready tasks. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, frequent bending stooping and reaching in all directions, will be required to stand for extended periods of time and work in both hot and cold environments.
