Description

IN-PERSON MALAY TUTOR FOR 8-YEAR-OLD WITH ADHD (SINGAPORE)

Do you love bringing language and culture to life through playful immersion and personalized attention? Modulo is seeking a warm, dynamic Malay tutor in Singapore to support an 8-year-old girl with ADHD in developing conversational fluency, cultural understanding, and confidence. This role is an in-person, contract opportunity—perfect for educators passionate about joyful, adaptive language learning.

ABOUT MODULO

Modulo partners with homeschool families seeking flexible, developmentally attuned education. Our students often excel intellectually and thrive with hands-on, personal engagement. We believe learning should be joyful and respectful of each child’s unique learning profile. For us, Malay is more than content—it’s connection, cultural insight, and confidence-building.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluent in Malay at a native or near-native level.
  • Experience teaching or tutoring children, ideally ages 6–10.
  • Familiarity with ADHD or neurodiverse learning profiles and strategies.
  • Ability to design engaging, hands-on, and playful activities for language learning.
  • Strong communication skills and reliability for in-person sessions in Singapore.
Responsibilities

The tutor will lead one-on-one in-person Malay sessions with an 8-year-old, focusing on immersion and play. Lessons will include movement, crafts, songs, and storytelling to introduce and reinforce vocabulary and conversation. You will adapt lessons to support focus, pacing, and attention for a child with ADHD, and provide simple, consistent strategies families can use at home such as labeling, music, or short practice routines. You will also communicate progress and strategies clearly with the family.
