Casual Support Worker – Logan Area

Job Type: Casual

Salary: $36.08 per hour (casual loading included, plus applicable penalty rates)

Shift Timing - Rotating Roster (Monday to Sunday, Including sleepover)

Work Location: In-person

Hours: 24 hrs

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist participant with personal care and daily living activities
• Provide domestic support, including meal preparation
• Transport participant to appointments and activities
• Build rapport and foster positive client relationships

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and own transport (mileage reimbursement available)
• Experience with ADHD, behavioural variance, and emotional regulation
• Experience with with Level 3 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), non-verbal, including managing complex and challenging behaviours.
• Knowledge of behavioural intervention strategies, sensory sensitivities, and communication support for non-verbal participants
• Calm, patient, and confident with high-energy or dysregulated behaviour
• Ability to implement routines and structured activities while promoting independence and engagement.
• Able to provide consistent, structured care
• Strong communication and ability to follow routines
• Willing to work collaboratively with mum

Mandatory Certifications & Clearances:

• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• NDIS Orientation Module
• First Aid & CPR (preferred but not required)
• Current Driver’s Licence (mandatory)
• Own reliable transport with full comprehensive insurance and current registration (mandatory)

Essential Qualifications:

• Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, or related field
• Experience providing in-home and community access support to children and adults
